Well, the problem with these late model trucks are not the lug pattern, although I did prefer the 6 on 5.5 over the 4.5's but the brake calipers in front are the issue. I bought a new frontier in 05 and bought new wheels and the calipers hit. I don't like spacers, hub centric or not, and refuse to put them on my truck. I went to Discount Tire when I bought my '11 because I wanted a better tire and the 4cyl S comes with 15" rims, I run load range E. So I bought from them because they ordered them, got them in the store, trial fit them, then mounted the tires.

Because of the offset, I still had to hack & wack although my tires are only LT265/70 R17.

What offset are your wheels? Stock is +35mm.
There are a lot of -6mm wheels out there. That is 1.6" further out than stock.
I am running a 285/75-16 tire on stock wheels and barely rubbed the mud guard. I cut out a 2"X2" piece (Max) from the mud guard and no rubbing.

265/70-17 = 31.6" diameter X 10.4" wide
285/75-16 = 32.7" diameter X 11.2" wide
