I agree. I've known it for a while but kept hoping Nissan would change their mind. They say the Xterra is a niche vehicle. I ask, so what does that make the Juke, Z, GTR? Seems like Nissan is getting out of the offroad business?!?!

I think w/o the flashy features/looks expected in modern SUVs by the market the XTerra had a hard stand despite its under-the-skin goodness.
But we still have the Frontier!! Big Grin

Problem is, Nissan appears to be getting away from the offroad market. Even the new Frontier in Thailand looks softer than the current one. The Titan is really too big to do much offroading like done with the Xterra and Frontier. The Xterra is one of the few vehicles to compete with the Jeep Wrangler, although I don't think it they ever would be able to take enough market share to concern Jeep.
