Yumm! Now I know where to stop in E.C! Lol

Are the sunrise and sunsets really different on the East Coast? You'd figure the entire world would see the same thing. I wish I had a D-SLR to capture moonlight pictures. Doesn't have to be a full moon in the desert and there's still enough light out to not need a flashlight, and still catch every glimmering star in the skies.

I believe this is around Parker, AZ area, part of the Copper Canyon still, at sunset.

Not a windshield pic, I won tickets to the AZ State fair and drove all the way out there and got this shot atop Le Grande Ferris Wheel!

At the very tip top of the wheel! Camera is pointed towards Glendale, AZ.

I think the problem on the east coast is that there is not much flat land, which would limit the effect of a beautiful sunset.

The sunrise/sunset is the same, but you can't see it in full panarama just everywhere.

BTW, unless you parked on the ferris wheel, the last pics are off topic. Sad

I have been on all parts of the Natchez Trace Parkway from Nashville to Natchez, not in one trip. I currently live 5 miles from access to the trace. We have been up to River Bend Park on several occasions to picnic. It is on a bluff overlooking the Pearl River. The most beautiful portion of the Trace, to me, is from North Mississippi to Nashville. The section near the Tennessee River is the best stretch.

I think there is something on the neighborhood covenant that would prohibit having a sign that big in the yard, even though I look like a Nissan dealer at times. I am down to 4 Nissans in the driveway/garage, but looking to add another one in the next 6 months. At the moment, probably a Juke!

Looks like you got sand blasted. I hear it can pit your windows and paint?

I'm not sure I understand that, sorry. Pit my windows and paint? I don't think I've heard of it said that way before! Tongue That picture wasn't actually a sand storm, just a light breeze in an open area, high Sonoran desert area. My phone takes very blurry and color faded pictures, I'm surprised it managed to catch a glimpse of it. The vehicle in front of me kept hitting his brakes, my HIDs were helping him see better on the road. Probably not a local, most people don't understand you should not have your high beams on with sand, just like fog.

We get nasty sand storms near the sand dunes, it's like sitting in the middle of a sand blasting. It does harm your paint, but I wax my truck often. So the only scratches and paint chips missing on mine have been my own fault with rocks and gravel off-road. As long as you clean up your seals and condition them you won't have sand seeping in during the storms. Another thing I have to do is remove the stock KN filter box, and vacuum it out. Even with a brand new filter, it'll still have a lump of sand underneath it. My garage is it's own detailing service. I have almost anything you can find at any auto parts store and more! haha Big Grin The local storms are bad, you'll be lucky if you can see 50' ahead of you and keep your vehicle within the same lane. Never drive near someone hauling anything or a semi during storms. That's why they pull over.

Liz, Mike meant wind + sand = pitting in your paint and glass. You will know it for sure when driving into the sun or using you wipers.. Or maybe you IV folks are so used to it, that it comes stock from the dealer. IDK.......lol......

I thought the same thing that mdawg did. By the way, there are 3 houses in my block in foreclosure. Why don't you move into one of them and be sure to bring all of your detailing equipment with you. I am getting too old to keep my truck and Mrs. Okie's car detailed. I need a nice neighbor next door to me and you sound just perfect.

NOW I understand... uuuh.. sorry.. all this nice weather, sunny skies and freezing desert nights are affecting me! Blush

Kev, that's why I made sure to obtain my truck out of San Diego. Something about that California breeze is Mother Nature's sweet repellent against the elements. At least now it can start deteriorating out here, vs. already being worn out by the Southern AZ conditions. Lol. My paint has recently begun to chip off after 17 months in the desert. Which is bad, but I now realize it's common with other people's Frontiers too about the paint chipping, and mine are tiny and repairable.

Awww!! Thank you Okie! I have been dying for a change of scenery but as many times as I've tried, I miss my desert too much. I should just run a detailing service, everyone seems to love it, hell I get called by certain autoparts stores when they have bulk items on sale Big Grin hahaha, hmm.. time to hire on some minions!

To add a pic! That's a rear glass shot of me headed towards Las Vegas..that is Laughlin, NV/Bullhead City, AZ, waaay the heck down there!

Same thing as sand blasting, only done by nature, and all over.

We were at Vicksburg Memorial Park many years ago. It was quite beautiful. I'll bet it would be beautiful covered in snow. I love the flag on the old bridge. I am not sure that I would want to raise it myself though.
