My Trip to Japan
#26
Now that's what I'm talking about. The white train is one strange looking thing. I don't read Japanese, but I do pretty well with pictures so I don't think I would starve over there. I love the toilet with a gear shift. Thank you so much for taking the time and effort to share with us who do not get to go to foreign shores.

I went to the new Nissan headquarters building in Yokohama yesterday. The have many vehicles on display. No trucks?!?!!! They had an XTrail, which is probably a Toyota Highlander competitor. I see it more of a stationwagon with a lift kit than an SUV. So little interest from me that I didn't even take a pic of it. I do have some but haven't downloaded them from the camera yet. I have had a sinus infection the past few days, and it wiped me out on my trip to Yokohama yesterday.

Sorry to hear that you are ailing. What a bummer when you are on a trip. I have had a cough and sore throat for 3 weeks now. I got out of the house Saturday for the first time in 3 weeks. I have a dental appointment in the morning. While I am not contagious I cannot go for more than a few minutes without having to cough.

I hope the ttruck starts after sitting for a little over three weeks.

Well, the wife is driving the truck since we sold her Pathfinder. I am in the Jeep. I hope it starts OK. It is getting a little old. I picked up some apples at the store near the train station. They are awesome. I have never had apples so juicy without being mushy. Got some pineapple for breakfast and some nectorines to snack on. The produce is so good. I think it is lacking the steroids used here in the states. The strawberries were a little more than $6 a pack for a pack of 6. That's right $1 each. I left them and the small bundle of grapes for ~$8 at the store. The smaller than a basketball watermellon was a little shy of $14. The apples are about the size of a grapefruit in the states, so I'll pay $5 for 4.

There certainly is a spread on the pricing over there. Some stuff is cheap compared to here and others expensive.

We went to Hakone today. The site of a lake that was formed 3000 years ago from a volcano. On a clear day Fuji is within site, but it aws overcast that direction today. I have many pics I have taken but not uploaded to Photobucket yet. I fly out for home next Saturday. I'll try to get my pics sorted and posted when I get home.

Finally! Due to an electrical outage somewhere other than Tokyo that shut down an air traffic control network, our inbound flight from China was 4hrs late getting to Tokyo, hence we got into Atlanta 4hrs late air traffic, and had to spend the night there. Finally got home right before lunch today.

It is going to take some time to get my pics sorted and posted, but glad to be back home.

Nissan Museum
We only had 20 minutes at the Nissan Museum. It is closed to the public and temporarily closed, but we were allowed in for a short time while at work one afternoon. Yes, I was kind of partial to one particular vehicle, but I needed pics for personal reasons.

That was great. I wish I could have been in that museum with you. My 1969 2000 Fairlady looked a lot like the one in the picture even down to the silver color. The velcrose on the top attachment to the support rails in the Patrol reminds me of a lot of my old British sports cars. Was the Tama truck a Datsun division? Thank you again for sharing your pictures with us.

Not sure. I'll have to research for that one.
