Wonderful pictures, as you know I love flowers. The only two I have are the Disco Bell Hibiscus and the Texas Star Hibiscus. Do you know what the flower in the third flower picture is? I would love to have one of those. It looks a lot like a Gerbera Daisy bloom, but this one has more of a succulent leaf structure.

We made some of the pot men in one of our Master Gardner work shops and then sold them as a fund raiser. The Thistle with the bumble bees is cool looking.

You have a nice looking family and I love the way you spend time with them.

Thank you for the help. I would love to add that one to my yard. We were right outside the gate a few years ago, but I thought the entry price was a little steep so we passed on going in. If I had known their gardens were so nice I would probably have ponied up the money.

Mrs. Okie wanted to know if you got any pictures of the inside of the house? I told her I would ask, but thought they might not let guests take pictures inside the home.

I received the email/picture you sent requesting the name of a flower in the Kitchen Garden. The picture was very helpful as we often just get descriptions that aren’t very good. It can be a challenge to id plants based on ‘shaky descriptions’. The name of the plant is Oesteospermum asti ‘Light Purple’. It come in other colors as well….white, pink, yellow, dark purple. We primarily use it for our spring and fall shows. I hope this information helps you out. Please come back and visit with us again soon!!

Unfortunately no pictures or video were allowed inside. I am uploading some videos of the grounds as the pictures did not do it justice. I'll post links as soon as they are ready.

Thank you, and Mr. Quade is to be commended on such a prompt answer to your request. Now off to the internet to see if I can find this beauty.
I was afraid they would not permit pictures of the inside of the home. Were you able to see much of the inside of the home?

We took a self guided tour of the mansion that is open to the public. There are areas closed off for renovation, and there are different tours you can take in addition to the one we did, like the roof tour. The views were amazing just out of the balconies and windows.
Here are the videos

The videos make the gardens even more impressive. I love the sound effects with the videos. I went on line and found the Osteopermums. After reading about them I remembered that I tried them a few years ago only did not see this color. It is a zone 9 plant and I live in zone 7A which is the cold side of zone 7. It also is a drought tolerant plant so it did not do well in my yard since I have a lot of water loving plants.

I found the seeds on line so I may try it again next spring. It is too late to germinate this summer and get any flowering. Thanks for the information.
