i went back to stock....
#1
like the subject says, i went back to stock. i took the chrome 18's off and put the stock wheels back on for the winter. although, i did spice them up a bit with some paint and 33'' nitto terra grapplers 165

i actually really like this look. turned out wayyyyyy better than i imagined it would. one of my buddies almost has me convinced to sell the 18's and BFGs and use the money to get the fabtech lift. 179

Looks good. I liked the others just as well, the stock wheels painted black sure will be easier to keep looking good.

Wow. I definitely like that better that the chrome wheels.
What kind of paint did you use? It looks more charcoal than black. I like it.

well it used to have the nismo offroad stickers on the back of the bed, but i took them off the day i got the truck home. i hated those things. i think they look wayyyyyyy out of place on the frontier..... to me, it gives the truck a much cleaner look w/o them

you're correct, it isnt black. it is duplicolor wheel paint. duplicolor calls is "graphite". it actually looks black in alot of pics, but it isnt. and to tell you the truth, it turned out a little darker than i wanted it to. i think i got a little carried away when i painted them. i wanted to make sure all the areas were covered.... but all in all, i have no complaints...

they were taken back where i grew up, on my parents ranch. there is a small river that runs through a good part of the area. the pics were taken where we have a crossing built up.

I showed my girlfriend these pics and asked her if she noticed anything different..... she said the truck looks like it's missing its hubcaps. lol.
And I thought I had her trained well.... she knows the different trim level by the wheels, foglights, and bumpers, yet she has to go make a comment like that. lol.
Well, I think I am going to have to paint mine anyway, I think it looks badass!

if you really want to teach her something, teach her how to sand. give her some sand paper and let her go to town on the wheels. then all you gotta do is paint them lol.

Do you have any pics of the wheels in the sun? They are all in the shade, making the wheels look darker that I think they really may be. I googled Duplicolor graphite wheel paint and all the pics I found seem to be a lot lighter than yours.
