Python 990 remote start/security system installed
#1
well, i broke down and got a remote starter/security system installed. after talking to a few buddies, salesman, and installers, i made up my mind i wanted a DEI system. this would be either a viper, python, or clifford. all of them are the same, all owned by DEI, just different names on them. there are 3 separate places here in town that sell each one. all of them were the same price. i liked the employees the best at the place that sold the python, so thats what i got. ended up with the python 990. remote start, security, 2 way remote, and 1 mile range. and let me say this thing is amazing. range is just CRAZY. iv only had it for a day, so i havent got to use it a whole lot yet, but here is a link to it. http://www.pythoncarsecurity.com/produc ... ductID=602

i had them use the security bypass module that you use a key with. i got 3 keys with my frontier, so i just gave them the valet key for the security bypass. unit was $500 installed plus $50 for the bypass.

there really isnt much to take pics of, but here is the remote....

indeed. its actually pretty neat. iv been playing with it in my drive way. if i go tap the window, a warning will sound from the siren. but if you are within range of the vehicle, you will also get a warning on the remote that the warning signal went off. if you tap it again the alarm will go off, and then the remote goes nuts telling you that the alarm is going off. i didnt know it would do that.

That sounds like a GREAT system. Let us know if you have any problems with it, Like if it goes off for no reason.

well, i guess you can adjust the sensitivity of it. they told me if i have problems with it going off for no reason, if it goes off very easily (someone parks beside me and slams their door), or if i want it to be be more sensitive, i should bring it back in. i guess it is a 5 minute fix.

Well if you lived on my street it would go off every time I drove by. People must hate me when I go to work early in the morning. 165
