Bicycle Mount
Hey, anyone know of a good way to mount a Bicycle using the UtiliTrac system?

Hell yeah...get a couple of "Super struts" at Home Depot and a few 1/4 shaft short bolts and locking washers. Then go buy a cheap quick release and bolt them all together. I will some pics...hold please. 165
Here are some..
The super strut slides inside the UtiliTrac and is held in place by a spring. It has a threaded hole that the bolt goes through. You can get them in the electrical department at Home Depot and the smaller one fits the track.
So I have to take off the front wheel? What about a little girls bike?

OIC not a quick release mount? Hmmm. Yeah you would have to take the wheel off. Sorry. Why not just use straps to the handle bars on each side of the tracks with the bike in the middle like people carry motorcycles.

Like in this picture..... ... e-down.htm
How about a hitch mounted bike carrier? That way you have the bed for other things...... If you are using the hitch, then put the bike in the boat.
How about something like this:

Rec-Rac will not work on:
Pickups with over the rail bed liners.
Chevy Avalanche and Honda Ridgeline, Ford Sportrac.
Flare style and Style side with no wheel humps.
Ford "Ranger Edge" with decorative plastic rail caps.
Inside bedrails taller than 2 inches like Ford FX4 Flareside. Other Fords with flush under rail bedliners.
Call on Nissan Frontier with Utilitrac channels.
Many 4' short beds with large wheel humps are less stable.
