I saw that Banks is now making an exhaust system for the fronty. It is called the Banks Monster. Has anyone installed this yet? I found it online for about $520. I was considering the Magnaflo system since that is what I installed on my wifes X-terra and I love the sound, but the one for the fronty sounds funny. I can't find any sound clips for the Banks system. If anyone has heard this or has it please let me know about it.
I have it. It's been almost a year (like 11 months) I've had it on. I like it, not too loud but you know it's there. I like the finish of it, not real flashy... almost stock appearance. Stainless steel full system. The shop that installed it loved it! They said it was the best designed system they had ever seen. They were saying most systems you have to fudge a little to get it to fit right, but the Banks Monster is a true bolt in system. Gas mileage improved about 2 or 3 MPG ...after you get used to the sound and aren't bootin' it around just to hear it 165

Here's my only sound clip:

I got mine for $450 shipped (to WA) from SoCalMotorsports.com.

Some people have been complaining about how the muffler is junk and rattles around... but like I said, it's been on for a year and I've had no problems with it. Even survived the winter with all the salt they use here on the roads. Once and a while I clean up the tip with some 000 steel wool since I don't run mudflaps and it gets peppered a bit.

Bottom line, no regrets buying it and would do it again.
Thank you! How does it sound is it deep and throaty, or does it sound like a honda with a coffee can duct tapped on it. Some of the aftermarket exhaust systems sound terrible. I love the sound of the stock exhaust but it is just not oud enough. And 2-3Mpg sounds good too.
Make sure you get the new model as the old one that came out in '06 had a different muffler which made too much in cabin noise.
I would love to hear a better clip of your exhaust eglaisi. Idle, light throttle, accelerate away, and drive by.
Your welcome! Sound is just nice for me. It's deep at startup, perfect at idle. Gets a little higher pitched when you punch it and up past like 2500rpm (which I'm hardly ever at) but all in all it's a good tone. Compared to my dad's Titan with Banks monster (5.6 V8).... my truck sounds like a 1.0L riceburner 204 but you can't beat the sound of a V8 IMO.

Mike, I'll work on some sound clips... that one wasn't really shot to get sound 205
