We have two Senators and 5 Representatives in the State of Oklahoma. Both Senators, Tom Coburn and Jim Inhofe voted against the porkulus bill. Four of the five Representatives voted against the bill. The lone holdout was Dan Boren from the southeastern part of the state. Yes, he is the only Democrat in the bunch and although he was elected by that part of the country when the vote for President took place his district voted for McCain. So much for representing the people you are elected by.

The Democrats in Oklahoma voted for Hillary Clinton, but the Democratic super delegates for the most part voted for Obama. If I were a Democrat from Oklahoma I would be kicking out a bunch of people next time around.

Senator Inhofe's comment on the bill was: "This day and this vote will long live as the day America turned its back on its reliance on free men and free markets."

Senator Coburn's comment was: "My worry with this bill is we are treating symptoms. We're not treating the disease."

I am proud to be an Okie. all 77 of our counties voted red in the Presidential election. We are one of the states that is working on a bill for state sovereignty if the US Government tries to break the Constitution. How in the world did we get a Democrat for Governor?

I might add that the Governor, Brad Henry, is late most of the time. Both of my bagpipe bands have played when he was present and almost every time he has been late.
