Wow, it is way down again this morning. Makes you wonder where it will all end. I have continued to buy because I thought with the market down as much as it is it would allow for some nice gains. So far not so much. Every quarter since I started this the market has been down. So much for the cost averaging method. Yes, I think that the market will
eventually recover, but I am not sure it will before I need to cash my investment in.

Everyone's probably still antsy over the 'stimulus' bill since Heir Obama hasn't signed it yet. Everytime someone in DC talks about the economy, the market suffers.
I think the market is anxious about the talk of nationalizing the banks. Investors, including myself, are afraid of socialism because their investments will be redistributed to those who have no investments. That is exactly what got Obama elected and since the Government has got about 50% on the take it is just a matter of time before they are successful in getting all of their socialist policies put in place.

Yeah, a bit weary. I have been doing the dollar cost averaging with international stocks since they seem to bounce back a bit faster once the economy get going again.
As a side note, the economy seems to be turning around already in my neck of the woods. But we were hit by it earlier than other places. We will see if it holds after folks have drained their tax return refunds.
Oklahoma has done better than most of the country, but now it is catching up with us. We did fairly well at first because of the high price of oil and we are an oil producing state. Now that the price has come back down we are starting to feel the pinch.
Every week we see layoffs and or transfers due to consolidations. Today Conoco announced they are going to transfer 700 employees from their Ponca City office. It will be done in increments so it will soften the blow a little except for those who are directly involved.
It is sad because Ponca City is where Conoco started up.
