It looks like I am supposed to get a one time gimme of $250 as a retiree. I also qualify for a tax reduction for two years of $800 per year. I have heard several economists say that the cost of this stimulus package is $10,700 per person and I think that was for everyone, not just taxpayers.

Let's see, I get a stimulus of $1850 over a 2 year period and in turn I get to repay $10,700 in taxes. What happened to the tax cut for 95% of all tax payers? And the scary part is, I barely qualify as a middle income worker.

I guess the silver lining in this dark cloud is that once they confiscate my 401K's and IRA's I'll be in the poor class and then I'll have no more worries. As the girl said at one of Obama's speeches, they are going to pay my mortgage and put gas in my car.

Scary indeed.

Yeah, we are on a speeding train toward socialism right now and the package stimulus package is the ticket that is taking us there. From socialism to communism is just a matter of time and opportunity and as Rahm Emanual said about the recession, it would be a shame to let a crisis go to waste.

When they have us so scared that our representatives will sign an 800+ billion dollar bill without even reading it speaks volumes. All I can say is you better buckle up for this scary ride.

You got it. When he was campaigning the slogan was "Yes we can." Now all he can say is no we can't. It is always a catastrophe now and there is already another stimulus package being talked about. The problem is that his stimulus packages are all filled with his liberal paybacks to those who put him in office. Our money will not be worth a plug nickel by the time they are through with us.

If you guys are not watching Glenn Beck then you need to start. He has had several economists on and they are not very optimistic about where we as a country are headed.

It was his TV program from last Friday afternoon, Feb. 20th. He was supposed to continue it today, but I missed part of the program and he did not cover it in the part I saw today.
