Already on ClubFrontier. I've noticed a lot of familiar usernames on here, but I decided i'd register to check out this site.

I like the random pictures of members' frontiers on the home page. Its a nice touch.

I drive a 08 SE 4x2
Already have a 3" Truxxx spacer lift up front and a 2" block lift in the rear with extended travel bilstiens.
It wasnt enough lift, so i decided to order CST spindles and AALs last week. .... so i'll be ditching the spacer/block lift within the next week or 2. Can't wait!

Yeah, i bought the UCAs today for $40. $80 for the LCAs is what mitch and i agreed on

How was the modding of the headlights, did you run into any trouble?

yes actually, i've been wanting to paint the bumpers.

The headlight mod was pretty straightforward...except it's an extremely tedious process. Getting them out of the truck was probably the worst part.
I didnt even paint the insides of the housings and it still took me a full Saturday to complete.

haha. im goin over to my buddies house in a little while to install the spindles.

When i'm done, I'll post up pics of the complete makeover with wheels/tires/suspension all on the truck.

Dude, downsizing from 285 to 265 reallyyyyyy helps! I'm pretty sure i will never go back to 285s. I rarely had to downshift into 5th gear on the way back. I guess the weight isn't the factor here because it's only like 5 lbs lighter than my original set up...it's the width. The noise is a little louder but oh well.

I bet your braking improved noticably too!
yea the MTs are a littler more noisey than the ATs, but its not too bad.

Even with my new smaller tires, i noticed that my truck is very noticably slower with these 17" rims on it. haha
It's gotta be because there is more rotational mass. I have to get on the gas pedal a lot more to build speed on the highway. It stops worse too. lol... at least it looks good tho!!

Hmm, that's weird. The wheels are supposedly 2#s lighter than stock SE. And the tires are 3#s lighter than the 265/75/16. Maybe it's all in your mind, lol


I expected the new set up to be so much lighter but for some reason it felt like i had to give it more gas. Then i thought, maybe it had to do with the tread pattern or maybe it was all in my mind. IDK haha. But then it proved me wrong when i didn't have to downshift as often as i did with the 33s.


But yeah, we both dropped around 5#s in weight so i don't know.

About the breaking, i can't tell the difference lol.

I can def notice a drop in perfromance. My auto now revs differently and shifts at different points when i step on the gas.
I think its because the pro comps have a lot more weight forcused on the outsides of the rim... ie: the large dish/lip area.


Installed the spindles this morning with a buddy. The install was A LOT easier than i expected. We took our time and finished the install in just over 3 hours.
The truck looks beastly now. Its a mini version of TerribleOne's truck. lol... I'll get some pics up soon.

Take some more shots when you get a chance. When are you doing the rear end? It looks like a pre-runner lol.

Still can't believe you got those tires for $100 each!

ya that guy felt bad because of the prices on other sites and how he told me a different size than they actually were....so we worked it out

Yea it really looks like a pre-runner right now haha. I didnt expect the spindles to widen the stance this much.
My AALs should be installed by Thurs next week hopefully and Hi-Rez pics will be up tomorrow after an allignment.
