How many of you are planning to attend a local tea party on the 15th of April? We are having one on the capitol steps here in OKC and I plan to be there. We need to let them know that they need to stop all of the wild spending and money printing that is currently going on.

Okie, there is one in Jackson, MS. I am going to try to get off work to attend. If all those who choose not to work can find the $$$ required to go to the inauguration, surely I can spare an afternoon to make my presence known for what I believe. If we don't, nobody else will do it for us! I'm tired of being too busy making money for somebody else, and getting home to see them on TV fussing cause the government won't give them more of my money. I don't have problems taking care of the elderly that have made this country great, but those that don't want to work for what they get is another story.
Here is another link. You can choose your state and find the closest one to you.

Count me in.

Our gathering will be on the square in front of the County Courthouse in lovely Georgetown, Texas.

I was in that very place last summer, a beautiful spot I might add.

My co-workers hubby is going.
I talked my younger brother into going with me and then we go to eat and on to the stroll patrol. It gives us most of the day to be together. I'll try to get som pictures today while at the tea party.

Look forward to the pics.
I guess alot of American's have sent tea bags to Congress. I think that is AWESOME!
I missed ours, still haven't escaped the office.
Same here. Left the office late. Let us know how it went
Was impressed with the turnout and hope the rest of the conservatives across the country unite and show the opposition to this reckless spending spree the current administration, house, and senate has undertaken.
I'll try to post pictures tomorrow. Been too busy with stroll patrol, tea party, and planting today. There were over 4000 people at the OKC tea party and we did not even have any headliners at the party. I was surprised that I knew as many people as I did. There were 7 people there that I know, not bad for only 4000 people out of the half million people we have in the metro area. I loved some of the signs, I'll share them tomorrow if I can get my planting finished in time.

I like the guy dressed up in a tea bag! That is a good one!
Yeah, they had some pretty good signs!
Okie, there is a lot of commonality in the signs you saw and the ones I saw. I saw the lady dressed up as a tea pot, but didn't get pics of her. I have a few pics, but it will probably be tomorrow before I get them posted, but here are some by a local guy I found on another forum.

mdawg4x4,
Thanks for sharing and for attending. We are going to have another tea party July 4th and I am hopping that since it is a holiday there will be even more participation. I wish I were more creative and could come up with something cool and meaningful for the next tea party.

Let me see if I can get a few pics on here.
