So you should know by now, im not going to by aftermarket $600.00 UCA unless i have to. For now, im just a college student driving to save every dollar i can. I took a close look under my truck and behind the wheels. I noticed that NISSAN welded a small piece of metal under our UCA. There is 2 holes if you notice. They exit through the top of our arms but you wont need or use the top holes. I further examined the holes. I noticed the one in the rear located closer to our coil bucket will be the best to use. I than took out my drill and wielded a 3/8 bit. I opened up the hole using the 3/8, because the factory holes are too small for the bump stop bolts to slip in. The bump stops i bought were low profile polyurethane from schucks but you can also find them on AC4X4. The cost me 11.00 and i replaced the nuts that came with them because you will see why, once you get them. After the holes were widened i sliped the bumpstops into our factory UCA and tighten them so they wouldnt come loose(have not done yet, because i still need to run down to the hardware store for new nuts). AND WALLAH!!! YOUR ALTERNATIVE TO SPENDING 600.00+ DOLLARS. THIS DIY MOD WILL PREVENT COIL BUCKET CONTACT AND MINOR DAMAGE TO BOTH UCA AND THE BUCKET. Rubber heater hose will not last...have even double layered the uca and still went right through the hose. This should not do the same as the material is stronger and the bumpstop covers more area both uca and when it hits the bucket. The bumpstop extends a tiny bit further than the uca edges which is another +

..if so, im sorry. This is totally safe and does not require you to remove your wheels. But it could make the job a little bit easier. I'm glad to help solve our coil bucket contact problems on lifted frontiers. ~ENJOY!
